Mr. Jeff Garland
47-490-A Ahuimanu Road Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744 Dear Mr. Garland,
I have had an opportunity to consider your appeal to the one year suspension placed on you from using 'Olelo's facilities and equipment. I reviewed your comments made on the letter sent to you from Angela Angel as well as other communications you have recently sent to 'Olelo staff. I additionally reviewed previous correspondence sent to you from 'Olelo staff and board dating from 1997. Finally, I asked staff for any further information that may be directly relevant to your suspension. After thorough consideration I have not found any new information that would support a reason to reverse the suspension. The suspension will therefore remain in effect as described In Angela Angel's letter to you dated June 4, 1999. Section 1.D of 'Olelo's Operating procedures clearly states that 'Olelo may refuse access to its services, facilities and equipment to anyone who behaves in a fashion that is detrimental to other facility users, and/or 'Olelo staff, including harassment or verbal use or interferes with the orderly conduct of business. In your case, there have been numerous instances in which you deliberately and repeatedly engaged in disruptive behavior at 'Olelo's premises towards staff and others and verbally abused and harassed Staff at the premises and by calling them at home. In almost all of these instances you were told either verbally or in writing to cease this conduct and that your failure to do so could result in your suspension from 'Olelo's facilities. For your own reasons you chose not to heed any of our previous warnings and continued to act in an abusive and disruptive manner. Your own actions have left us with no choice but to take action against you in order to protect our users and employees and maintain the integrity of our business. Rather than dispose of the contents
of your locker, which we asked you to clean out several weeks ago, in the
spirit of wanting to act in a constructive and respectful manner wherever
possible, I have asked David Mulinix to clean it out for you and mail the
contents to this address.
Sincerely,
|
