Contributing 'Olelo shows since 2000.

Started in Public Access in 1970. Been involved since there in N.Y. Worked for public access at a grass roots level with the community. Work for 'Olelo since 1999. Have recently  started my own video production operation. There are more than a few issues that need to be addressed in terms of  improving that which we have and make better use of what the future has for us. 'Olelo has the opportunity to go to the  front of the class in terms of what public access can offer
the community.

I have been a certified producer with 'Olelo since February 2003. I have produced a few programs such as, Empower Yourself, Weed - N - Seed, and Miss Hawaii Teen USA Fundraiser with Savannah Werner. I have taken the producers class, pd 100,  DSR-1 and studio. I have lived on the Waianae coast for 13 years. I would be happy to represent the Waianae 'Olelo satellite office and focus on helping new producers taking the steps needed to bring their productions to air. I will be available to hear their concerns and communicate them appropriately.

Series producer and 'Olelo host of Made By Native Hawaiians TV show since 1993, over 75 shows produced for Public Access TV. Series Producer for Progressive Democrats TV shows and Young Democrats TV show, health educator, community advocate, special events and community education organizer.

Work on 100 productions. Did some producing. Lot of camera work, editing van shoots, studio shoots. I would like to see what kind of contribution I can make to help 'Olelo better serve our community.

Nothing much to say about myself. Retired producing making movies and trying to make things better for everyone at 'Olelo. Opportunities that are awesome, like making your own movies and starring in them too! It's a great opportunity for everyone. This is a once in a lifetime adventure for people who have a lot of time on their hands to get involved in 'Olelo.

I am the president of a nonprofit organization, Na Lima Aloha, and, as a certified producer, much of the programming I do is related to Na Lima's mission. I am excited to share with all people of Hawaii the tremendous potential that exists for them to share their specific interests with others in the community. I am encouraged by 'Olelo's commitment to making this opportunity to as many people as possible and strive to spread the word. I am continually looking for others I can assist by helping them bring their story to Hawaii, through 'Olelo.

The main purpose of my running for ASAC is to firstly, award the producers for the hard work they do producing tapes everyday, week and month; and secondly, to open the line of communication between the Board of Directors, ASAC and the producers so information can be relayed in a professional manner. If elected these are the two main goals that I will focus on. Aloha.

Owner of greenhouse nursery business - Rainbow Nursery. Been in farming, flower business 26 years. Love nature, hiking, diving, surfing, kayaking, horseshoes, pool and golf. Very grateful for the opportunity to be part of 'Olelo and its facilities, and hopefully now even a part of its positive future direction!!.

Dave Mulinix has been working in nonprofit management for over 20 years. He is the former Executive Director of Hawaii Habitat for Humanity. Former President of the Honolulu American Indian Center. He has been an 'Olelo certified producer since 1990 and has produced numerous programs for community television. Dave worked for 'Olelo for four years as a Community Project Manager. He's been a member of ASAC for the past two and a half years. Issues Dave has promoted during his time on ASAC include; the free dubbing station, mentoring program and suspension policies and appeals process.

Served as past member of the ASAC Committee. Has spent time working on behalf of 'Olelo clients by helping to institute the tape reimbursement program and has pushed for client checkout of decks. Dennis is an advocate for better equipment and and enjoys working as a mentor for new and existing clients. Dennis has helped to create hundreds of hours of programming for 'Olelo's channels.

I am currently the producer, editor and cameraperson for Kukui Connection, a half hour series that airs every sunday at 4:30 pm on channel 54. The moderator for the series is State Rep. Marilyn B. Lee. I have attended ASAC and 'Olelo Board of Directors meetings. I consider 'Olelo to be an extremely important vehicle for public access to television communication. As an ASAC member I would be accessible to clients via email (lauriev@aloha.net), and I would work with ASAC for wide dissemination of minutes, notices, and questionnaires asking for client suggestions.

I have been an active Producer at 'Olelo since 1992, currently the President of the Community Television Producers Association (CTPA) and co-founder of their website (  http://www.aloha.net/~ctpa  ). Webmaster for  http://hpam.hi.net  (also found at  http://olelo.tv  ). I have all available ASAC information posted online. I have attended almost all open ASAC meetings. I have attended most 'Olelo board meetings since 1992. I have been proactive for the cause of PEG Access in Hawai'i since 1997 by presenting and testifying on measures before the legislature regarding PEG Access issues and annually provide them online and keep interested persons posted on their progress. I streamed the first LIVE production from 'Olelo's studio in 1996. I have archived many Independent PEG Access producers' shows online for the whole world to access, while 'Olelo has only seen fit to do so for individuals campaigning for elected offices. I have consistently lobbied the board for access to other media training for 8 years. I proposed they also provide access to radio, web site development, computer, and media literacy training since 1996. I communicate on a regular basis with the DCCA Director, the DCCA Cable Television Division, the Governor's office, State Legislators, Communications Attorneys, Mainland State Cable Regulators and mainland Access Executive Directors, staff, and producers, the Hawai'i State Office of Information Practices (OIP) and other state agencies regarding PEG related issues. I follow PEG related litigation and legislation locally and nationally and have compiled a list of all and have it posted online for all interested parties to access 24/7. I worked with CTPA on getting the OIP to render an opinion as to whether or not PEG Access Corporations in Hawai'i were; "agencies" for the purpose of HRS Chapter 92f UIPA (Open Records Law) and HRS Chapter 92 "sunshine" law (open meetings). The opinion on Open records has been completed and the one on "Sunshine" is still pending. An opinion was rendered last legislative session by the Attorney General, due to CTPA sponsored legislation, regarding whether or not the State Auditor had the power to audit PEG Access corporations.

Kauai Access Advocate Ed Coll and myself have posted a website for all active producers and supporters of PEG Access programming in Hawai'i to get involved, instead of wallowing in apathy, by easily navigating the DCCA PEG Access plan and to read and submit comments on the proposal.

For a good example of what 'Olelo could and in my opinion should be, please see Grand Rapids Community Media Center ( http://www.grcmc.org/ ). If interested, email me at digitaleye@hi.net and I will provide you with other links to like access centers.
